  1. House Passes Taiwan International Solidarity Act and Taiwan Assurance Implementation Act, Advancing U.S.-Taiwan Ties

🎊We’re thrilled to share a major legislative victory! 🎊

On May 5, 2025, two of FAPA’s top pro-Taiwan bills passed the U.S. House of Representatives.

Taiwan Assurance Implementation Act (H.R. 1512) — calls on the State Department to identify and remove outdated self-imposed restrictions on exchanges with Taiwan.

Taiwan International Solidarity Act (H.R. 2416) — counters China’s false sovereignty claims over Taiwan and its weaponization of United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758.

This victory was made possible by your steadfast support and tireless advocacy. In 2024, our petition for the Taiwan International Solidarity Act mobilized over 1,500 supporters and sent more than 3,000 letters to Congress. In September 2024, more than 80 of you — from 15 states and 20 chapters — even traveled to Washington, D.C. for our National Advocacy Conference, proudly championing the bill as our top priority. Thank you for making this incredible achievement possible!

Now, all eyes turn to the Senate. We’re not done yet — and we need your help to keep the pressure on.
